All the folks involved with this from sales to installation were fantastic people. No BS at all. My sister used them few yrs back and loves her ductless system. Matt sales rep Jason Alpine installer Luke Electrical Thank you all, this last heat wave proved HOW MUCH I needed this.

Alpine Ductless H & AC from sales through installation was easy to work with other contractors to add minisplit to my cabin. They responded quickly and efficiently to requests and problems that arose. It was a pleasure working with this company and their mechanics.

Received a complete estimate on several units. Installation was timely and the crew was very professional and efficient. Very pleased with the entire process. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this company.

We have had problems with our unit since two weeks after the install. First it was installed in front of our dryer vent which caused the pump to become clogged and the system to not work. After the unit was moved away from the vent the unit has never worked properly and the company has not fixed the issues. We have had several other companies look at the work and unit and they found code install violations, improper installation of ducting, and said the unit is not fixable. We are having a completely new system installed by another company. What we did get from Alpine, Cory to be precise, was a nasty email, no resolution. We are, so far, out the money we put down and are having our attorney handle the issue from here on out. It should be noted that many appointments they made with me were not kept, a viable solution to the issues were not reached and they were unable to determine the cause of the issues. Issues are: unit doesn’t regulate heat temperature, you can not run all of the units at the same time: the breaker flips or one of the units turns off. Also our energy bill from Puget Sound Energy has gone up since the install, it should be noted we had cadet heaters and window unit ACs prior. Puget Sound Energy, as Alpine Ductless was their recommendation, is assisting us also with the issues with this company. We couldn’t be more disappointed in our experience with Alpine Ductless.

Ductless technology has been around since the 1970s. Many of the systems installed during the 1980’s are still functioning well today!

Do ductless heat pumps work in cold weather?

Alpine Ductless Heating and Air Conditioning | Jul 26, 2022
Alpine Ductless Heating and Air Conditioning | Jul 26, 2022

Yes, ductless heat pumps work very well in cold weather. Your mini-split can usually heat to a low outdoor temp of -5 degrees, or in some cases lower. Its efficiency keeps your home comfortable on its own most of the time. However, on those extremely cold days, if you feel your ductless system needs a boost, you can run your backup heating system in addition to or instead of it. Although running only your ductless system will be the most efficient, adding a backup heating system on the coldest of days is okay, too. It ultimately depends on your comfort preference.

Are ductless systems efficient?

Alpine Ductless Heating and Air Conditioning | Jul 26, 2022
Alpine Ductless Heating and Air Conditioning | Jul 26, 2022

Yes! They are the most eco friendly and efficient option available! Ductless systems operate using 25% to 50% (or more) less energy than electric resistance and forced air systems, making them one of the most eco-friendly choices available. Modern ductless systems have ultra-high Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratios (SEER) between 20 and 27, and Heating Seasonal Performance Factors (HSPF) between 10 and 12.5. Some new systems provide SEER ratings over 30 and HSPF values of more than 14 – almost unheard of even just a few years ago.
