I ordered the Mango Chicken and it was perfect. The sauce was sweet yet the sweetness didn't overpower the spices. The rice was perfectly cooked. The naan was obviously baked in a tandoori oven because the top of the naan has bubbles and the bottom was crispy not burnt at all. The rice pudding was not too sweet, allowing the Indian herbs and milk to stand out also. Nothing that came to the table was less than great. Service was informative and quick as well. Great atmosphere and music

Masala at Northgate is a hidden gem. The most relaxing of all the hectic Indian restaurants in the city. Sedate booths, low key lighting, muted decor, and excellent selection of specialties. If you like seafood, try their tilapia at a 4-5 star in spiciness. The owners are extremely attentive and notice small details.
