An observation not a complaint; seemed to be missing or unable to stock a lot of items (shipping or short staffed) Unfortunately there is no reception in the business so if you needed to you'd have to walk out and return.

Tried to replace the fish I got here 5 years ago, but they wouldn't let me. Maybe 6-7 years I bought a fish tank-kit at this Petco along with some goldfish to go in it. After about a year of the fish dying, we finally got the water ecosystem right so that there were other organisms to eat the fish waste and the fish lived for about 5 years until they died recently. The kids wanted new fish. However, the person working here refused to sell more goldfish to me. She insisted that my tank was too small and kept repeating that 'our fish can grow up to 2 feet long'. I tried to figure out if there was some kind of solution, but the fish person seemed determined that my kids and I should not be allowed to buy any fish. [If the problem really was that my tank was too small, then perhaps they might have tried to sell me a larger tank. That did not happen.] Eventually I became frustrated and asked if there was a pet store near by that would sell me fish. The associate looked defiantly at me and suggested that I go Pet Smart in Tukwilla. I guess that's where my kids and I will have to go. Unless you want interactions like this in your life, I suggest you find a different place to shop.

My step mother and I were at Petco in West Seattle asking about basic puppy training. The employee we spoke to informed us about classes they did there. The clerk was very helpful and by the ease she answered our questions I could tell she was knowledgeable about pets in general. We signed up for the classes that were once a week and cost reasonably cheap. I still can't believe how very nice and approachable the clerk was. After the first class I knew it was the right decision to sign up for them. The progress of the puppies training was already visible. Thanks Petco...you rock!

I had shopped her numerous times (usually to buy cat food or fish supplies) and never had issues. Yes this is a big box pet store so it will always be less well taken care of than a more expensive store but I never had a real problem. However I just purchased cat food that had been expired since January!!! My cat was ill for 2 days and I was about to take her to the vet when she thankfully started feeling better and I decided to check the expiry on the can. Long story short, they sell expired products (whether by omission or commission) and that is enough of a reason not to shop here anymore.

Yes they do. I frequently bring my sheppit mix Xena to this store, and she is always welcomed. I've seen other bully breeds there, and the staff have always been kind and welcoming.

Same. There's usually street parking. Or in the QFC garage, which sometimes feels a little sketchy and dark.

I think you can do single lessons. You just need to talk to them
