Hands down, the best crispitos and fried chicken legs in town. In my opinion, prices are a bit on the high side but that happens in every small town I've ever lived in. The highlights of Pioneer Grocery are hands down Jerry, Kelly, Diana, and Marie. They treat me with so much warmth and respect. If you live in Pacific County and you don't have many options for shopping, Pioneer Grocery had my recommendation. Have a great day, and I hope you find my review helpful. -Frederick

Nice small town grocery store. Prices seemed pretty high, but prices are going up everywhere and I don't do our grocery shopping so they could be right in line with everyone else and I wouldn't know it.

Pioneer Grocery really shows effort in trying to give their customers a pleasant shopping experience. Their produce department is very welcoming and has a great variety! They have a knowledgeable meat department that is very accommodating! There is a deli with hot food, cold and fresh sandwiches and salads, desserts and a bakery. The staff is friendly and attentive! I prefer Pioneer to the other choices in my area.

Great corner grocery, a block from our motel. South Bend was a wonderful place to visit

I'd call and ask for the meat department. They should be able to get the meat and debone the lamb leg.
If you don't have your own mask, they will provide one for you. Very clean store.
Masks are required to enter the store but you should be able to call ahead to arrange a way for you to get what you need.
Pioneer Grocery does not sell the Daily Astorian, but does sell the Chinook Observer, Willapa Harbor Herald, and The Daily World.
