Rented Kegerators several times from this place before with no problems. I tired to rent for Sunday 7/3, with a drop-off of 7/4. I figured if the system let me then they must be open. I got a call a few minutes after the order saying "we are closed 7/4 and 7/5" Ok, totally understand. The frustrating part is that they then told me that they would be charging me the rental fee for 7/4 and 7/5, despite being closed and my previous acknowledgement that I would be happy to return the unit on 7/4. So the rental went from $150 to $350. I asked if we could work out a different agreement and was met with "No absolutely not" I get that the holiday closures throws some sticky logistics in the mix. But you turned away a customer willing to pay $150 for a day rental, because you wanted to charge for additional rental days, even though they are days that you are closed? Disappointing experience and will look elsewhere for rentals in the future.

This is the coolest store! You don’t even have to be into brewing beer. They have kits to make cheese, yogurt, and all kinds of fermented items. I went to pick up acids for my bar and they were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. Great place to just look around and be inspired.

I used to shop at Steinbart's in the 1990s when I lived in Portland. I now order on-line from eastern Washington. The service is amazing and the selection is excellent. Thanks again to the entire crew at Steinbart's!

Oldest brew store in the US and a selection that reflects it's experience and the innovation of the homebrew culture in Portland. Not just beer wine and cider, they have an extensive draft department, cheese and pickle making, canning and bottling supplies, everything you imagine you could need and more.

i built a hand held heater to add heat out of water heater elements bolted to a 2x6. stir in heat. I was lucky and found massive elements used for cheap. my unit is 11kw and uses a 60 amp breaker for a power switch. very fast heating. 5kw would be more like what you'd see from a big-box home improvement store's inventory.
I would call and ask. I'm fairly certain I was told they do refills for some of the micro keg setups. So, I'd say it's a possibility.
