Extended Stay America - Portland - Gresham

I checked into Extended Stay America, Portland/Gresham, on July 22, 2022. In the room they first gave me, the bed was unmade, and the towels, in the bathroom had been used. Called down to the front desk, to complain. They moved me to another room, which was nice of them. The second room was nicer than the first room. It's a descent hotel, but nothing to write home about. Photos are of the second room. I forgot to take photos of the first room.

All good except the smell at corridor/hallway. Was holding our breath while walking through that area. Please clean that area ASAP

If I could not put any stars I would. If you are looking for a safe, clean hotel, this is not the place for you. Its not even about the price of a room, as I went to a more expensive hotel after just staying 4 hours in a room here and I only stayed that long because it was too late in the night for me to find another hotel. The night staff took 30 minutes to check me in but she didn't even do that correctly, and while she had me waiting she was cursing at me because she was frustrated with the own system. The room itself was dirty, with no soap, no shower curtain, and no hair dryer. When checking out I politely stated my disappointment with my experience and that employee told me I would not get charged for the night, but she had no authority to make that statement apparently because I was charged. When I called to ask about the charge I was told because I stayed for 4 hours they were not going to refund me. Not a good experience at all. No Worries.

Could use extra details on cleaning rooms. Great amount of space. Extreme on security. (I later found why had i known b4 i would not have stayed) want to add the speed humps or bumps are to tall my husband's car hit or bottomed out on them. No damge that we could see .. edit- thank you we may try it again. Due to the response of managment. Thank you.
