THE MOST BEAUTIFUL HOTEL. The beds were incredible. Randy at the front made us feel so welcome. hung out in the lobby by the fire and enjoyed a good book the first night. Then Saturday night there was live music that was amazing. this is my new favorite place to stay when I take trips from Portland. Hotel is walking distance to everything. 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This hotel is fabulous. Randy checked us in and provided excellent service We had an incredible experience. It is close to everything downtown. The bed was comfortable. We read complaints about highway and train noise, but it e slept well and found it part of the charm of a historic hotel along a railway. If it is too loud for your liking they provide earplugs. The historic nostalgia of the hotel has been preserved without sacrificing comfort. We will return.

We are getting married in Hood River so we booked the two big suites at the Hood River Hotel for us and our close family. Well, we never got to stay here (and never will) because the hotel decided to remodel the rooms while we were supposed to be there and they cancelled our reservations that we made over a year in advance. Because the employee who worked with us didn't send us a contract to sign at that time, the hotel explained that they didn't feel the need to "honor" our reservations and that we would have to find rooms somewhere else, even though we received multiple confirmation emails that our rooms were booked. This place is clearly very poorly managed. If they wanted to remodel the rooms, they should have not allowed them to be booked out at that time.

We stay here for ski adventures at Mt. Hood in the winter and Mt. biking adventures in the summer. The staff is very friendly, I'm not sure why they are so friendly, maybe they like working there? Centrally located in down town Hood River. Close to restaurants and shops. It's not a chain type hotel so every room seems a bit unique and quaint. The bathrooms are small but quaint, in a historic kinda way. The art is Hood River Historical photos, which adds to the charm. It's also a great spot for an evening beer or glass of wine by the fire in the lobby We love it.
