Potatoes could have been cooked longer. Make them crispy. Same for the bacon. Toast was not Toasted, more like warm bread. Eggs were good. Cooked right over easy. Service and servers were great 👍 Seems like they were trying to push too many people through the place.

This is a very small cafe right on the corner of Lakewood and Carson, across from the LBX. We got there early enough on a Saturday so there wasn't much of a wait, but that changed quickly. You can tell this place is popular. The staff and service was super nice to us. My wife got the eggs benedict and it was pretty good. The English muffin was burned on the bottom. Not sure if that is intentional, but we didn't care for it. It may be worth revisiting next time tho. We did really enjoy their side potatoes tho. Those were bomb. Soft and compacted together, but with a little crisp on the outside. I got the banana pancakes and, life hack, added a side of peanut butter! That was delicious! The banana pancake is one of their more popular items and those flavors naturally go together. I highly recommend it.

a gem of a diner. lots of character and charm and very much a family operation. there’s an emphasis on hospitality where it felt like everyone who works there has time to say hello. our breakfast was delicious: one order of chilaquiles, one order of belgian waffles, and a bottomless cup of coffee. perfect.

Today I was craving chilaquiles and so glad I remembered that Sunrise makes them saucy and spicy and perfectly crunchy to my liking…was transported to the time I first tried them here with the family and rated them pretty delicious then and I can continue saying absolutely the best…These aren’t soggy my eggs were over medium and they were perfectly runny for the great pair of beans and chilaquiles bite. They are opened with all the COVID protocols indoor and outdoor seating available too…staff is always wonderful and service is always great. So if you’re in the Lakewood area try them out but remember they close at 3pm so definitely the earlier the better…awesome breakfast/lunch choices on menu.
