Texan BBQ Pit-master seal of approval. I raised my family in Southern California but moved to Texas 17 years ago. I've since been indoctrinated in gospel of true BBQ. Lucille's is the only BBQ place in Cali that I go to or recommend. I have tried almost everything on their menu and it's all good. Their on the bone chicken is most, flavorful and still kinda pink (*as it should be) It's been smoked "slow and low" the moisture in the meat doesn't get cooked out and only slightly changes color, don't worry it's safe. So much better than your frozen chicken breast propane grilled on high heat that you need a stake knife to cut.

cost is greater then the amount, quality, and complete meal satisfaction in my opinion. I am a little more critical when it comes to bbq and the end product. That said it wasn't horrible though it could be considered a little over cooked. Meat should be able to stand on it's own without sauce or extra juice drizzled to compensate any dryness. Unfortunately all but the southern fried chicken was disappointingly unsatisfactory. An evening in which 8 entree 7 of which were completely different leaving only two plates as the same entree also 3 appetizers. The 3 appetizers fried pickles, thin fried onions, and chips with spinach artichoke dip. The appetizers in my opinion were the most enjoyable. Although I was rather hungry in the moment which could have allowed my enjoyment to be magnified a little. I personally tried a watermelon margarita it was good but the salt on the rim was overwhelming sugar or nothing added to the rim of the glass would be preferred. I do not like strong alcoholic drinks but this one tasted as if it was made without any alcohol or possibly forgotten in the preparation. This review may seem to be overly critical honestly it is only because a group dinning experience of 8 with a cost right under $300 without tip. Although food was lacking the service was great I can't blame the server for the food. We appreciate the good service especially it being Easter holiday and left a gracious amount for our server. Other then the service I will more then likely have to decline any future dinning to Lucille's.

THIS IS BAR-B-QUE! So good I ordered take out for my office Christmas party. Baby back ribs, Alabama style chicken, cheddar cheese and jalapeno stuffed pork sausage, baked beans, and banana pudding like no other. Pictured Is there deviled eggs, which of course has crispins on top.

So so good! We don't have good bbq in Washington so when we saw lucille's and their great reviews we knew we needed to try it. The St Louis ribs were the most tender, flavourful ribs I've ever had. The brisket, amazing. The Nashville chicken sandwich was very flavorful without being crazy spicy. The fries were seasoned and crisp. The jalepeno cornbread was worth the premium upgrade. The only thing we didn't care for was the fried pickle spears. The batter falls off the pickle and it was just hard to eat. They do give you complimentary bread though which was very tasty (but honestly limit those so you have room for meat meat and more meat). These people know what's up. We went right at opening and you could tell how fresh it all was. Very much recommended.
