A friend told me about this little place and we thought we'd give it a try! It's so homie and affordable. It has easy beach access with no sand dunes blocking your view! It's older and not ritzy so you don't have that high dollar price tag. The people are super friendly. The place is clean and taken care of. It has a pool, a playground and a couple of grills. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I had two rooms this past week and one of them was not vacuumed before I was allowed to go in. No big deal really. But it would have been nice not to have sand on my carpet. We will for sure be back!

I first encountered the Cavalier 20+ years ago. Used to go every year. Some life changes kept me away for a while, then for the past 3 years I've been going for a "girls retreat". Now, this is not your upscale resort, but it IS a great place for families, or couples, or a friends get-away -- they have an outdoor pool, a playground, grilling area, and awesome beach access and beachfront. The rooms aren't ultra modern, but they're comfortable, and the staff is great! I truly LOVE this place.
