Go elsewhere!! This vet has become increasingly unreliable, unhelpful, neglectful and overly expensive. The last time I went, they told me my 25lb dog weighed 35lbs and when I asked for them to weigh him again because he had literally been weighed the day before at the groomer, they argued with me! They refused and wrote down the wrong weight and it’s still wrong on his records. When I raised the issue to the vet she said, “it doesn’t matter, he’s healthy.” Not ok! It absolutely matters! They calculate medicine doses based on his weight! The vet techs also very clearly have a preference for either dogs or cats. I brought my new puppy in for his vaccines and the tech was so rude, she made a disgusted face when asked to hold him for the exam and kept calling him “annoying puppy” and “rude puppy” and “gross puppy” and when I asked her to please stop, she told me she was just kidding and was a cat person. They also can’t seem to maintain a vet staff and when I called because my dog needed to be seen due to constantly squinting his eyes, they told me to wait THREE WEEKS for an appointment. I ended up taking him to a different vet that same day and it turned out he had an eye ulcer and needed emergency treatment. If I had waited the three weeks WSA recommended, the other vet said he would likely have lost his vision. Also, forget trying to call them and leave messages after hours. They turn their phone off because the “volume is too high” but also have reduced their hours. I had to call and get my pets records because we’ve decided to leave this vet clinic and it’s been a mission and a half. Instead of acknowledging they didn’t send the last record, they told me to check my email again and then didn’t reply or answer my other messages letting them know I don’t have the records. The only reason I didn’t give them 1 star is that they actually used to be great. I’m not sure what happened but the techs used to care and the vet used to follow up.

West Seattle Animal Hospital has been my Veterinarian since 2002. Unfortunately, today I had to make a euthanasia appointment for my 18 year old terrier. 😕 Something every pet owner dreads. West Seattle Animal Hospital has always been so kind and empathetic, with routine care, and end of life decisions. The pandemic made it very hard to get into a vet for last minute appointments. I was relieved we were able to be seen within 2 days. The staff is very kind and the Veterinarians are great. My pet family is very grateful to have found compassionate care. In loving memory of The Queen "D" "Olive Brigham" 2003-2021

We've taken our 2 Rescued puppies here since they were babies. We moved up to the North end, but now we're back and visiting WSAH again and couldn't be happier. One of our babies was rescued from a Taiwanese meat farm, and is skittish around people he doesn't know to this day. But the doctors here are always friendly and patient. They take the time to get him to calm down and relax (as relaxed as he's able to get, ) and always give great care to both of our furry little babies! The prices aren't cheap, but they certainly aren't any more expensive than any other vets we've been to. Add to that excellent care and treatment and it's definitely worth the price!
