UPDATED AFTER THEY RESPONDED: They pretend to care and ask me to take this privately to them via an email address, but I have done that. Many times. And I don't get a response, or they will say "we are looking into it and will get back to you," and then never do. They want to be seen as caring while also not actually giving a darn. I have had the worst experience with this company. They misbilled me (while also not fulfilling their end of what I had actually contracted), overcharged me for months on autopay (even though I had NEVER authorized autopay) and after 11, yes ELEVEN, phone calls and multiple emails trying to sort everything out, they simply...canceled my account. Unfortunately the city contracts out for business garbage removal and I have no other garbage pick up options. And they didn't even have the courage to send a letter telling me they were going to cancel (and yes, I have a contract from them, which they signed for the next year in accordance with the city's contract).

I've had a great customer experience with Kathy, she's very helpful and knowledgeable. she has helped me multiple times with my bills as a well as canceling services.

I am Cheng, I own several business in Portland and the other States. We all use Republic for my restaurants. Now we are evaluating their conduct and method of dealing with their customers. We had no problem with the other States, however the Portland OR sector had gone below the standard, missed pickup, miss communication, blaming on the environment. They would not consider us as value customers. Bill G******, district manager, he was responsive at the beginning. The situation must went extremely difficult and overwhelming, he did not bother to respond to calls nor any form of communication anymore. We terminated the service regardless any contracts. You costed us time and resources, damaged our business and you owe us an apology.

Customer service is hideous. All I wanted was to change service level. I called the local office to do this. They switch you to North Carolina call center then Phoenix I've been all over the country and I'm in Portland. They say they can help, they verify all your information then say they have to transfer you and you have to start all over. I've verified my information SEVEN times to change container size. What a frustration for a simple request. You can tell they have a monopoly.

There is a Public Recycling Area just inside the main gate to the left. Open 8 am to 5 pm Weekdays. Accepting only recyclable listed on the signage. NO household wet garbage, furniture or junk.
