Well, I can’t comment on the rooms themselves because I never had the chance to see them. But the management that runs this place really dropped the ball. They do tours from 8-4 Monday thru Friday. I have normal working hours so making a tour during that time frame was very difficult. They will not accommodate your time you must work with them. I however worked to get out of work early and scheduled a showing with Wendy for 345. I drove 30 minutes to get there, I showed up and she was not there and the office was locked. I called their management company and apparently she went home sick earlier. Now, I get it. People get sick but I literally rearranged my life to make it work and drove pretty far to see this place to get not even an email. I gave her my phone number over email as well and never got a text or phone call. Frustrating. I’ll take this as a sign that if their first impression is rough I don’t think if something goes wrong living there they will “on it”….bummer.

I've been here for about 2 years now and plan to stay for a little while. I really like Angela and when Johanna is here she's great too, they're almost like sisters. Actually this is a great place to live and the area is beautiful. Rent is affordable if you have a good job and if anything needs fixing they will fix it! If not right away just call back or email them and they will get right on it. Since, covid-19 it's a little harder to call and get an answer, but all in all everything is cool here. The best thing I can say is COMMUNICATION, as long as you are communicating they WILL work with you here. Nice apartments!!

These apartments are family friendly unlike the other ones around the area, that seem to be more fitting for young couples or college kids. I moved here into a 2 bedroom 3 years ago and now I'm in a 3 bedroom which is very spacious. It has been under a few different property managers which all of them were nice but Angela is really trying to turn things around such as getting the place cleaned up and adding several lights around the property. The buildings are old and could use some updates but I'm sure Angela is on a mission to fix a lot. Yes there are water bugs but it's kind of hard to control that lol. If you're like me & would rather have lower rent over fancy appliances and renovation then definitely stop here. You'll pay $200+ more anywhere else, I promise.

Looks like they deleted my last review, so I will add again. But for now, this is what is on the grounds of The Retreat at Mission (See Photo). It is a rat, just barely smaller than my size 8.5 women's Nike's. It is just inches away from the building and have recently seen them running around outside. So at least this is dead, I guess? Here is my last review that was deleted: The Retreat at Mission: On 02/11/2019 my apartment received a notice saying that on 02/12/2019 there was going to be someone entering the property to treat for pests and how to clean out cabinets if you've been seeing bugs. I had 02/12/2019 off from work and was home the entire day and not once did anyone knock on the door or attempt to enter the apartment. When my roommate got home, he called the office to ask if someone had sprayed for pests and the office, Joanna, said that someone had been here. So my roommate informed her that I had been home all day and that did not happen. Also, I periodically checked and there was never a pest control vehicle outside and I never heard knocks on anyone's door. She then started fumbling with her words and claimed she gave the pest control person the wrong set of keys and they sprayed the wrong building. So now, The Retreat has a pest control person entering properties WITHOUT any notification (illegal in the state of KS, and breaks the lease contract PAGE 3 Section 28) that someone would be entering their apartments. And those individuals were unable to put animals up so someone could enter and properly remove items so the apartment could be sprayed appropriately. So every apartment is paying $3 a month for pest control that I believe is just being pocketed by the apartment complex. Now today, on 03/15/2019, we were once again suppose to have pest control enter, this is known from a note left on 03/14/2019. I had the day off and never left the house. Once again, no one came and when you call the office to ask if anyone has come by, they lie and say yes. The water is constantly turned off without any notification that it will be turned off or when it will be turned back on. This happens fairly regularly, and right when I need to shower to get ready for work. When you call the office and ask about it and when it will be back on (during the time that it's off), the "manager", Angela, says that she doesn't know anything. She claims we aren't informed because it's turned off for emergencies. When in fact it has been turned off because they are fixing apartments that have been vacated. I've spoken with the maintenance workers and they say that it is always known when it will be off and they thought residents were informed. Angela also claims she'll call you when it turns back on and I've specifically requested her to do so, and not once has she ever done that.
