My cats were spayed and neutered here and I bought flea meds and other meds for well over 25 years. My cats never got sick ,so I got my first experience with a sick dog, who had to be put down and I got sent to another clinic as they were full up in 2015. After 20+ something years there I have another sick dog, dying of enlarged heart again. Their staff is friendly, texts me, consoles me on the phone. They are knowledgeable. My advice is TO GET PET INSURANCE because pets cost a bundle when they get sick! I had no idea because I've just been so lucky with my pets' health. I was quite scared and naive , but the vet was very helpful by phone as I waited outside with Corona going on; The aid was very nice. Allen. I like that they check up later on the animals. UPDATE; They were supposed to do call-back but forgot us.whoopsie! Over the years I think the whole staff is new. I wasn't allowed in the building with the Covid thing and my pets are usually so well that I haven't been able to see things one on one. I guess now I get to go in the building for an update on my dogs heart condition. My friends all go here. I haven't heard anything negative, nor positive from my friends, but we all have gone here many years. That says a lot. I hope I see the same helpful people over the last 24+ years when I visit next week. I mean I hope the clinic is still caring about pets, not money. I do know they helped my frantic friend out with payments for her cats. I'm a senior. I really can't afford much. Wish there were funds for people like me and my friend who has an autistic son and cannot work. Our animals are loved deeply and we do our best!

Friendly and kind staff. Efficient scheduling, and curbside appointments. A tech gets your animal (a dog in my case) and brings them to the vet. The vet calls you to discuss the visit findings, as well as any questions you may have. This is my first experience with this clinic. Twelve years ago I used fountain vet. The Whatcom Humane society had this vet on their list, and it is close to my home. Those are the reasons I chose this clinic.

I’ve never met my vet. From the outside, this seems to be a very professional, competent vet. I started bringing SassyCat in March 2021. It’s February 2022 and they are still not allowing anyone in their offices. I always wear a mask. I’ve had three vaccinations. But… I’ve never met my vet. If I could only meet the vet, I would give them five stars. If we had video conferences, I would give them five stars. But a phone call is just a phone call. Fortunately my little fur babies are healthy, and I’ll bring them to Maplewood… unless I am still not seeing a vet in six months. At that point I’m going to have to look somewhere else. Personal interaction counts.

The veterinarians at Maplewood are kind and caring and very knowledgeable. The staff is friendly and attentive. My pets have always been comfortable with the staff and the vets and to me that’s extremely important. I also appreciate that their prices for vet care including exams, dentals, spays and neuters, medications etc are very reasonable. They make taking your pet to the vet affordable.
