Positive: The staff was super nice and welcoming. The location was great. Negative: Hotel is dated. You can tell they have done some renovations, but it¿s definitely not a 3 ¿¿ ¿¿ ¿¿ hotel. We¿ve stayed at 2.5 star hotels that have been nicer.

The staff here is phenomenal. The breakfast, always wonderfully stocked. Housekeeping is kind. We stayed here 5 days. Did not meet one staff member who was rude , and met many who took their time to ask how you was doing and have conversation. They shampooed carpets often when people left. My ONLY COMPLAINT was the pool was not cleaned. 5 days where there it was not touched. Was disappointed that we paid for hotel to swim at and wouldn't swim in it because it was too dirty.

This was the worst Country Inn &. Suites I have stayed at. The lobby smelled like smoke and an ashtray. The Front Desk was not friendly at all and when we got to the room it didn’t get much better. They put us in a handicap room (which we didn’t mind), and the room was filthy. Trash left underneath the beds, rust on doors, stains on carpet, holes in bathroom tile and I could go on and on….. We spent $350 a night and would of left immediately if the town was not sold out for a holiday weekend. So disappointing that they have not taken care of this property….. if you are looking to stay somewhere close to Lakewood Ranch - you have MUCH BETTER choices.
