We weren't planning to rent/ride bikes during our days in the islands, but when the interisland ferry was on the blink for the day, our hotel recommended Meat Machine and we were not disappointed! they were really helpful when my wife and just walked in and rented two e-bikes. If I had known how fun they were, we might have planned to do them instead of a different activity! I had some ideas about where to ride, but, because they live here, had much better ideas about where to ride. Super happy with our stop there!

Was on island for two days of road cycling; noticed an issue with my rear derailleur that I couldn’t diagnose to a fix. Enter Matt - bike technician. Spent quality time helping to diagnose the problem, resolving to the best extent possible. Many thanks, Matt! Bike performed during the ride and without any surprises…quite a ride, actually! 🤙🚴‍♂️

We (1 racing cyclist and 1 recreational cyclist) rented 2 Awesome Road bikes for three days. Staff gave us excellent tips for where to ride for beautiful scenery and empty beaches on San Juan and Lopez. Super friendly staff, and very accommodating when our plans changed slightly. A couple blocks away from ferry dock. Light weight and well maintained road bikes. They also rent e-bikes if you need extra energy on hills, and hybrid bikes. We have already recommended Meat Machines to our friends in Seattle for when they visit the San Juan Islands.
