I went to attend the lap swim the other day, and the front desk lady Catherine was very disrespectful towards me for no reason. The life guards were rude. Very disappointed in how I was getting treated. I mean common, you’re a grown adult, there’s no reason to give a teenage attitude for nothing. I was all calm and nice, and yet she was giving me attitude. Makes me not want to go there. And I won’t anymore.

My boys had been attending swimming lessons and I'm so happy with the instructions. They start and end on time. When the water is cold they call ahead to let you know they're canceling the practice and they will reimburse.

My daughter has been in lessons at the Tualatin pool for the past couple years. The pre-school group was great for getting used to the water, dipping ears, and ultimately being comfortable dunking completely under the water. At 5 years and up (level 1), they start learning to kick, float on their back, and switch between front and back. They'd better be ok with putting their head underwater at this point or it can be a bit if a power struggle between the kids and the highschool aged teachers. They start learning actual swimming strokes around level 3. The only complaint I have is that there aren't enough classes. Unless you're staring at your computer when registration opens, you may not get your kids signed up. Some classes completely book up within 30 seconds.

The swim area is really small, especially compared to the diving area. You have to be extra, extra aware of other swimmers. You'll need to bring your own lock if you intend to use a locker - otherwise, take all of your gear with you to the pool side to keep a better eye on it, when you aren't under water that is. They have wonderful pool noodles and kick boards available for use. No life vests, but the noodles really are fabulous.

Yes, we do. We offer several different classes for people of all ages including seniors. For more information please give us a call or check out our website. Thanks for your question!
We open weekdays at 5:30am and on the weekends at 11:00am.
Although we do have rentals in the afternoons is also about staffing. There is a national shortage of lifeguards and has hit Tualatin pretty hard. TTAD hopes to offer more programming in the afternoons again as soon as they are able to staff the pool.
There isn't an age limit per say but to go off the diving board a swimmer has to be able to pass our swim test. The swim test consists of 25 yards freestyle from the shallow to deep end, and 25 yards backstroke to return to the shallow end.
Yes we do accept SilverSneakers and Silver and Fit!
