They do little to nothing for state employees, make no mistake their main function is political fund raising. I am a current member solely for cheaper insurance. If you don't need the insurance, done waste your money, they do not represent state employees.

An organization that is run by its members, the State Employees Association of North Carolina does an outstanding job of representing state employees in the General Assembly, the State Health Plan Board of Trustees, the Teachers and State Employees Retirement System, the Office of State Human Resources and with the media. I cannot imagine how much worse things would be for state employees if SEANC did not exist. I suspect the folks writing negative reviews about SEANC have not taken part in any of the Association's efforts to improve active and retired state workers' pay and benefits and know little to nothing about this group's accomplishments.

SEANC has long advocated for benefits and rights of NC state employees. Staff members have an outstanding working relationship with our legislators to gain safe workplace for all employees.
