I stopped at this place of business to get a part for my scooter, I was told the part was $45.00 and to wait a week for deliver or he could order the part and deliver the next day for $100.00.Guess what! Amazon had the part for $7.99 and will be delivered tomorrow. How does that work?

I've had good service and not good service here. This last time wasn't so good. I got a call after several weeks of having my bike in there and he said "the case is damaged, you need a new case". The engine case is a pretty big deal of course, and I asked how much it would be. Long story short, it wasn't the case, it was the clutch cover - Not a big deal at all. He said it was going to be $600. History with work there is that it usually ends up costing more than was quoted/expected. I came and picked the bike up un-repaired and told him I couldn't afford to have him work on it, and much more of it was disassembled than necessary . Fairings and such were taken off that didn't need to be and were no where near the area being worked on. I ended up getting a used clutch cover from another business with the new seals installed for only $40 plus shipping and installed it myself (easy job). I feel like I had to pay for much more of their time than necessary to remove the parts that did NOT need to be removed at all. I will try another source next time.

Vince has been my motorcycle mechanic for decades. He is a very good, honest mechanic who charges a fair price for expert mechanical work. He is friendly, straightforward, self-assured, and honest... and a really good mechanic. What more could you want? He kept many of my cheap, beater motorcycles on the road for years after most would have given up and sent them to the bone yard. He never runs up the price and always completes the work professionally in a timely manner. Vince once told me I didn't need him to repair my elderly Honda 900 if I had this here part, a half hour, and a few tools... and then he spent twenty minutes telling me how to fix it! And he was right. I bought the part, went home, did the repair, and was on the road again. All these decades later, I want to say again, "Thanks Vince!!!"

Straightforward, no bulls*** guy, got my first bike fixed up and rideable within a couple days ('03 Yamaha R1) that had been sitting for years and wouldn't start anymore. He told me exactly what was wrong and what I could go without fixing, and didn't try to sell me on the bells and whistles either, he looked through the catalog with me and helped me make a good decision on good parts for a good price. Very, very, very likely to return here and continue to have most of, if not all of my work done at Vince's.
