This is the 113 acre Pine Island Park which is coupled with the Bamford Sports Complex. These recreational facilities are located behind the Broward Mall. Bamford Sports Plex is named in honor of late Davie restaurateur Robert Bamford, Bamford was a civic leader in Davie and Cooper City who died in December 1992 at age of 62. He served on Cooper City's City Council in the mid-1970s and he purchased the Hitching Post restaurant on Davie Road in 1975. he was well known for being active in youth sports leagues. Park and sports complex amenities include an aquatic center with a 50 x 25 m Olympic sized pool, baseball/softball field, seven lighted soccer fields, tennis court, indoor gym, meeting rooms, picnic area, a playground, and exercise trail. The large 40 person shelter is available for rent as are meeting rooms. The park is currently closed for renovation as the city is in the process of redesigning the drainage for the 7 fields in the park. New concession/restroom and meeting room/maintenance buildings are also being built. Construction is in the final phases and when the park reopens the community will have state of the start soccer fields. This park is ideal for team sports, picnics, and all sorts of exercise.

Huge. Many soccer fields...a kids dream. Fresh air, space to jog, space to lay down

Certainly large enough and a great place to bring a chair, some sandwiches and drinks to watch soccer being played by youth of all ages, depending on which teams you are watching. Great coaching and very serious play at all age levels. Plenty of parking as this park has 6 soccer fields that I saw - maybe more? Fun!

We come here to play soccer. The field sometimes is muddy (without it raining) and it’s odd but we deal with it along with the holes in some fields. It would be nice to fix it but we like that it has good parking, lighting and space for seating
