You can only hope your Dentist is honest and trustworthy. Kim Rioux and the hygienist are not. Went in for my regular cleaning. The hygienist said I need a "deep cleaning". They informed me my insurance would pay 80% of the cost. I reluctantly agreed to the procedure. Months later, my insurance informed me they will not be paying anything for the service provided. Their reasoning was there is not ANY evidence showing a "deep cleaning" procedure was necessary. I called Kim Rioux and asked if they could file an appeal showing evidence the procedure was needed. They agreed and submitted an appeal to my Insurance. My insurance then informs me they still see no evidence and will not be paying. I call Kim Rioux DDS and try to work out a deal reducing the cost of the procedure. They finally offered to take $50 off the price. When I tried to negotiate, they then threatened me with a finance charge and collections. The Office Manger at Kim Rioux DDS is not pleasant to deal with and has made this whole ordeal frustrating and complicated.

I called their office and was able to get in right away as a new patient due to a “cancellation". The online registration forms were fast and easy to fill out. Celine & Brevard at the front desk are friendly & very accommodating. The Dental Hygienist Krystlelyn is amazing and extremely caring. She also does a great job. I wish I could say the same for Dr. Rioux. I had two fillings performed by Dr. Rioux and her dental assistant Chong. As Dr. Rioux was injecting the Anesthetic into the bottom part of my gums she hit a nerve which immediately made me jolt. That has never happened to me before. The feeling was of a lightning sensation in my chin. 10-15minutes into the filling I felt my heart beating out of my chest so naturally I started to panic. It was the worst feeling I've ever had to experience. I felt like my heart was going to stop beating since it was beating so hard and fast.. I raised my hand and got up right away to sit up on the chair. Turned out my body was having a reaction to the Epinephrine anesthetic. Which again has never happened to me before. After a few minutes of letting my body calm down, I laid back down (still frightened) and she continued the filling. It felt rushed and because of that I am now left with a sharp filling rubbing against my tongue. And it is now difficult to speak and eat. I walked out of her dental office frustrated and fearful of getting any future dental work done ever again.. To make matters worse, when I got home I felt something sharp floating in my mouth, a tiny piece of the filling either chipped off or was left behind after she was finished. What a horrible experience!! She was not friendly or caring either, I do not recommend her.

This was the best experience I have ever had with any kind of appointment. Every one of the staff members made me feel comfortable and informed. It was spotless, organized and the appointment was right on time. This was my second time back (had xrays and a consult prior), this time for a routine cleaning. Both times were amazing and everyone I saw was beyond professional and considerate. Kind hands and kind hearts, love this place!

It seems I don't visit a dentist until it becomes an emergency these days, however, when I called, they managed to get me in for a look-see and decide where to go next within 3 hours of calling in on an early Monday morning appointment. I am very satisfied with Kim and her staff. I have always received care and help whenever I call and I am only one of many who visit and use her services. Thanks very much for being close by now, only about a mile as a crow flies. Wow next visit, virtually Painless, 2 crowns and 1 filling, great job Kim!
