Twice denied me care 10 years apart both every serious. Nursing staff horrible rude and downright bullies. Filed lawsuit. Going to make sure it gets alot of media attention. They still haven't learned after furgesons lawsuit. On top of the fact my PCP literally sent me in there. Malpractice! 10 years ago I suffered an eye injury that left me blind in my left eye. They did nothing literally! I had a massive global rupture. I could have bled to death and they kickedd me out. This time they didn't touch me or run a test. And I've had severe abdominal issues. Verified by grays harbor in Aberdeen. It's disgusting that these people think. They can bully citizens. They have zero customer service skills and are bold liars!

While there are things that can always be improved in hospital care, one thing that cannot be more valuable is compassion. Dr. Ashok Ponniah, M.D. was assigned as our father's physician when he checked in. He spoke to my brother and moments later had to repeat the same information again as I came in. But he was as genuinely sorrowful delivering his update as any doctor I have ever heard. He was patient as my brother and I cried, he gave us some likely expectations, waited as we decided what to do. I absolutely could not have been more grateful for this Dr. I had reason to reach out directly to Taben Main, Director of Pharmacy as there had seemed to be some confusion at several points with some medication delivery/orders. Recognizing that my father has a very strict protocol for his medication, it is often a challenge if he doesn't receive it on time so determining any shortfalls and correcting them is critical. After spending some time with Mr. Main on the phone, we both determined that there does need to be more communication with the patient and their family, and he appreciated my taking the time so that improvements could be made. I would have expected to have been met with quite a different response but instead, it was genuine, it was sincerely from a place of wanting to make the hospital experience more positive, excellent staff member! Some additional shout outs to the third floor staff for all of their days with my family, Meghan, Sammie, Nigel, Amber, and our newest Top Gun fan, thank you. Thank you for treating our dad with such kindness, thank you for looking after us while we watched over him in those last 5 days, your efforts could not have been more appreciated.

The social worker is a complete flake that needs to be replaced. She left me waiting for hours in the ER and said she didn't realize I was waiting for her. Is there a communication problem there or what or is the social worker just a flake? She didn't communicate or follow up or follow thru with her promises to help me. She abandoned me in the ER. She wasted many precious hours of my time and my husbands...hours that we can't get back in our life. This is what makes me the most angry. I will never go back to this place. I have experienced many hospitals across the country and this one needs work. The reason I gave two stars is because one of the ER doctors was compassionate and seemed competent as well. He took the time to listen and to care and was encouraging...an outstanding doctor in my book. If the hospital replaced the social worker or pounded some sense in to her this hospital would be much improved.

Sorry but I can't answer that. I would recommend calling before getting service, you don't want a crazy bill if not covered.

Are dogs allowed for a brief visit?

Only service dogs for physical needs, not comfort service. It's a matter of infection control. Some viruses including the common cold cross over species.

Who should my attorney and I see about a New Living Will - The Old Green Paper Do Not Rescucitate from Highline Medical Center is an INVALID DOCUMENT - a New Living Will has been electronically signed with many witnesses from a public area.

I am a Google guide. I rate places I've been to. I do not know the answer to your question. Personally, if my attorney didn't know about how to do a living will, I'd find a different attorney that specializes in it. Just my opinion, that hospital sucks.

Can anyone get a blanket? If so how?

Jayme Viamontes | Aug 17, 2018
Christopher Kochrian | Aug 17, 2018

Blankets are usually for patients and family only. They don't even like to give EMS blankets cause you never know where that blanket might go next (hospital)
