I haven't been to Angelo's Taverna for many, many years and decided to head there today when my girlfriend told me that she was craving Italian. Before going into the food and service aspect of our experience, I just want to point out real quick that the Yelp wait times do not seem to be accurate here for some reason (maybe they don't update them?). The Yelp wait time stated 0 minute wait but we ended up having to wait about an hour for a table for 2. The food's quality has not changed at all since the last time I went there. Everything we got was amazing (please refer to pictures attached). The chargrilled oysters and burrata in particular were our favorites. For the oysters, I would highly recommend the original and bacon and gorgonzola flavors. The chipotle one was underwhelming. The burrata comes with 4 "sauces or dips" that all taste great. Ian was our server and was phenomenal at his job. He was very pleasant and took care of us perfectly. I would highly recommend coming here sometime for some awesome Italian food!

Oh My Oysters !!! Yes, this place had some of the best broiled oysters I've tried in a long time. I also had the lobster gnochhi and a classic caesar. We went on a slower day (Easter Sunday) service was good food was good.

Love coming here when I’m craving good Italian food. The oysters are on point and the happy hour special really can’t be beat. When you ask for extra garlic they happily accommodate.

Angelo's Taverna is so yummy! Any place that has mussels, oysters, and pizza on the same menu is a place for me:) I'll definitely stop by whenever I'm in Denver. The menu has great options and everything tastes so fresh. I had garlic bread with mozzarella and chargrilled oysters to start with a glass of Chardonay. For my entre, I was undecided between the chicken and eggplant parm so was able to order both :) and a side salad. The portion sizes were perfect and the oysters were amazing. They actually have oyster flavors--that you can mix and match! I had the Chipotle Bourbon Butter and the Original (with garlic, butter, pecorino, and fresh herbs/spices). Both flavors were great but next time, I'll get a full plate of just the Original. As a note, they don't take reservations, but they do offer a call ahead option to get placed on the waiting list.

The parking lot is small and it is always off street parking but the food is worth it
Reduced capacity for inside dining but the best is the 5 outdoor greenhouses that you can reserve for your group to eat in.
We Do Not take reservations at Angelo’s Taverna, but you can call ahead and we will put you on the waitlist! Our call ahead system does not guarantee a table at the time of your arrival but it does put you at an advantage to walking in! Just call 303-744-3366 anytime and we will add your party to the list. Check in upon arrival and the hostess will let you know how quickly you will be sat! I hope this helps. We look forward to having you soon Ann!
They have great oyster selections. All their proteins are ala carte. The peppers and onions are delicious. But I don't believe that they have gluten-free pastas or gluten-free substitutions.
No, but you can call ahead to be put on the waitlist so when you get there, you'll get priority seating
