Totally disappointed. I’ve used the UC and clinic and had really great experiences. As someone who works in healthcare you expect certain practices and notice a lot when it goes against standards. I went to the ED this morning with concerns based on symptoms I was experiencing. I checked in with the registration person who was very friendly. I was taken back by a female nurse who first didn’t use patient identifiers before doing vitals and still not after. She clearly didn’t want to be bothered by doing actual patient care. I was placed in a room, actually she walked me to a room and said doctor will be in, no instructions at all. So I assumed I should lay on the bed. The nurse Josh, who was amazing and sadly not a permanent nurse there, came in and asked if I was given a gown, no I received no instructions from the woman who brought me back. Josh had to keep running in and out because he was taking care of multiple patients, mostly demanding patients. In this time I’m listening to the women at the nurses station just casually talking about life while he is literally working hard to handle multiple patients, with no help. Dr Parmar walks in and I can’t stress enough that she should never work on patients. She barely listened to me or my concerns. Her exam was literally just looking at my legs, used a stethoscope for less than five seconds on one part of my heart and basically saying “hmm I don’t know” ordered blood work and left the room. Mind you she did not wash or sanitize hands before touching me or after. After I got blood work and waiting I watched this doctor literally out side of my room with the door open talking to a patient about her liver masses and going down a list of other issues, totally violating this patients HIPPA rights. And there is more, once everything was back and my blood pressure was still high, she says my blood work was fine and that I just ate too much salt and I’m paranoid. After I left, I still wasn’t comfortable ignoring the heart palpitations with leg edema and high blood pressures so I went to another facility and sure enough after tests were ran (blood work, EKG, etc) I was having a cardiac event that was spiraling. I think Summit has a good concept but this physician and some of those nurses, will do harm eventually and someone is going to get hurt beyond help. Dr Parmars bed side demeanor and lack of skills is a dangerous combination when treating people.

So I was taken by ambulance to this hospital. As they were unloading me for a 3 inch laceration by 3 inches deep. The nurse was very rude to me the whole staff of the er was actually. Someone is in need of medical attention and your hospital treats them like this? Your nurse should be fired and the director of your hospital as well. Will NEVER BE ABUSED BY THESE HORRIBLE HEALTH CARE WORKES AGAIN....

Staff is rude and either untrained or doesn’t care. I would not bother calling on the phone as staff is often moderately helpful at best. My baby was born here, went to get her 12 month shots today was simply told I could not see anyone because they don’t accept her insurance (apple health). No options for paying out of pocket or any other information just told “they won’t do it.” We will be switching doctors, not because we don’t love her doctor, but simply because the staff has been so unwilling to listen/help with anything.

I’ve rarely had a good experience here and I’ve been going here since it was built. One thing that I don’t like is the staff, including nurses and doctors are always on their phones. They just sit their on their phones half the time and don’t seem like they are doing their jobs. A lot of the nurses are very condescending or plain rude. The only nurse’s I haven’t had an issue getting help from are typically from the night staff in the ER. Another thing, I had came here a few years ago for a possible UTI, and was “diagnosed” with a UTI a few times only to be told that I’ve never had a UTI, I don’t like being lied to by the people who are supposed to help me, and I was taking antibiotics I didn’t need. A lot of times they’re really slow here so it takes forever even for the simplest of things.
