This is our first time here as a family and we've enjoyed it. We arrived on the Friday of a holiday weekend and had no problem getting a level site with a fire ring. The only drawbacks were the weather- which is obviously out of anyone's control- and it was HOT. The park was equipment had no shade so we had to be strategic when visiting. And no firewood on-site or a location nearby to purchase. Not at all a deal breaker; we just try to not bring wood from home as we don't want to spread any disease. We will more than likely return as my husband's family is from the area and he camped here as a kid.

Beautiful. Just beautiful. I stayed 2 nights in an rv. Kids park is nice and the creek that leads to the river is awesome. Took/hiked a horse trail about 2 miles and had a blast. Cooled off at the end in the river.

Camping area is low key and secluded! Round about of campsites. My hubby and I drive in from Mound to stay here so we definitely recommend! 😄 🏕Beautiful woodsy walk down the ravine to the creek! Some of the trails around the campground/park area are a little steep but its worth it!
