*EDIT: I really want to reiterate that the times I had to consult a different provider were frustrating. I reached out to Broadway Vet after the first event I mentioned because I wanted to be able to ask his doctor questions directly. I didn’t feel the need to continue corresponding with other staff if I could help not make a big deal out of it. Her verbatim response was “I’m sorry they didn’t understand my notes about just rechecking the glucose only!”, so I’m not sure what their argument is there. I truly don’t believe I received good care from the vet who was there on my last visit, flat out. And I don't think I was the only one who had an opinion about the doctors behavior either. It’s unfortunate that BV wasn’t as interested in reaching out for feedback when I verbalized to two separate staff members that my visit was super uncomfortable, and ultimately I did not feel like I could return.* Im really bummed to be writing this review, but after my appointment today with Broadway Vet I don’t feel comfortable returning. The support staff/techs are wonderful, Dr. Van Noppen is one of the kindest vets I’ve seen and is super knowledgeable, but she’s at the hospital 2 days a week at most and my experiences with their other Drs have been really negative. My dog has an ongoing GI issue that we haven’t been able to find the exact cause of yet, and I brought him to BVH from Urban Animal because I needed to get him care that was more.. personal. Things had been going really well with Dr. Van Noppen, but I found that if we had to get in on a day she wasn’t available, the information she told me that I relayed to the available Dr was treated like something I googled, and not something I had already discussed with a vet who worked at the hospital and was regularly treating my dog. During my last visit, I was told to bring my dog in for one glucose test on a day our regular Dr happened to not be working. Nothing else needed, just the test. I relayed this to the staff multiple times, told them he did not need any type of exam, and the vet working that day still examined him, called me with a bunch of information that was contradictory to what his regular doctor and I had been discussing, and slapped me with a full exam bill. Today, the doctor working (Dr Bush?) was just so beyond rude. We had to go in due to negative side effects from a new medication my dog was trying- I don’t know this person, I’ve never seen them, and they walked into the exam room with a huge and unnecessary attitude. I was relaying information to them that our regular doctor had told me, verbatim, and they flat out told me what I was saying wasn’t true. I even asked them about a medication I had literally purchased from BVH, and they told me it didn’t exist! I understand that your job as a vet can be emotionally taxing, but it's totally unprofessional to talk down to people who are just trying to advocate for their pet. There just seems to really be a huge communication breakdown between the Drs who work here, and if my dog is trying out a new medication or whatever and needs to be seen sooner than his regular vet has availability, any Dr working there should be able to provide the same level of care, but unfortunately that has not been my experience. My dog is my baby and I’ll put up with a lot for him, but I am just not confident that he is receiving consistently good care at BVH. See Dr. Van Noppen, or consider another vet.

We've been coming here for about 10 years with our medium breed dog. They've always been great to us, but I had a sense they went through a rough patch at some point in the past. We had a great experience today. They got us in quickly for an issue with our pup, and took really good care of us.

For five years the staff at Broadway Vet have provided kind, caring, informed care to my cat. Both Dr. Rawlings and Dr. Van Noppen are great communicators as well as caring doctors; I have been so impressed by the time and trouble they have taken to respond to my emails and phone calls. As well, the staff have been super helpful at making appointments, providing prescriptions, and gently handling my cat. I feel so fortunate to have this wonderful practice to rely on for my kitty. Thank you to everyone at Broadway Vet.

I moved away from Seattle earlier this year and recently had to take my cat to a new vet. Visiting a new vets office made me realize what a true gem Broadway Veterinary is. My cat Leopold had multiple check-ups and had dental surgery done here. I was boarding my cat here over Thanksgiving and scheduled the surgery while he was boarding so that he could have time to recuperate at the vets office. The staff called me at the beginning of the surgery, in the middle of the surgery, and as soon as he was out of surgery. While he was boarding here I would get almost daily calls updating me on how my cat was doing. When I picked him up I got amazing stories of him lounging with employees and wreaking havoc in the back office. I doubt that I (or my cat) will ever feel as comfortable at another vets office ever again! Thank you so much to Broadway Veterinary for taking care of my cat like he was your own :) Attached is a picture of my cat chewing on the door stop in the vets office (back when he still had teeth)

You could ask but I think you would do better at Ranier Vet? I think they do sliding scale. Can't hurt to call both and ask.

I would call the hospital, or call an emergency clinic.
