Best union. Union people are there to help with a smile. They work hard to keep us safe and get us the pay we deserve. Thank you .

It was February when I completed every class for certification. I have not received credit for multiple classes, despite having been to them on time, and for the whole duration of the class. Every email I have sent received no response. Most calls are sent to voicemail, also no response. Today is July 13th. I had called them June 28th, and was told my issue would be pushed up to Logistics, and they would get back to me by or before the next Monday (July 4th). It has been a month since, and I have received no calls or emails. I called on July 5th and was rudely told to wait. I cannot even take the test for certification, and my employers have been threatening to fire me because I do not have certification. They often do not answer calls, even during regular business hours. Do not give this union any money. Stay far, far away.

Worthless union that should be condemned for its incompetence. Constantly taking dues with zero to show. I’ve been paying dues to this union with absolutely no representation or benefits. But sure enough these dues are going their special interests. It’s funny that unions were designed to help workers but 775 is just another leech with the government. I’ve attempted to opt out but yet I still pay in. Horrible people that should be ashamed of taking money from some of the most underpaid workers in the job market especially in a recession.

After 12 years of working full time with this union and paid thousands and thousands in dues they decided since my hours were cut I could no longer have medical insurance. Yes believe it or not they took my health insurance away in a pandemic. Left me in my 60’s with no health insurance. I couldn’t sign up for Medicare for 3 months after they ditched me. So thank you SEIU775 FOR GLADY TAKING a percentage of 288 checks amounting to literally thousands. For 12 years I could not get you to even call me back so WHY was I shocked and surprised you dumped me when you couldn’t get that percentage you so gladly took. Thought your members should know not get to comfortable and trusting. They will rip the rug out the minute they can. No matter how trusting and loyal you have been with them.

Those union dues are optional. You can opt out of paying those dues and still have the same pay, benefits ect.
This union is a joke. They have done nothing to help pay raises. You can get same pay and benefits at any other place union or not. I’ve been a caregiver since 1995. I have been on my way to work and client canceled on me at last minute or a weeks pay gone due to client in hospital and I receive no pay. Union does nothing. I have no sick pay or have seen any raise!! Absolutely a joke.
You don't have to pay union dues at all. Every benefit members receive, nonmembers do as well. The only difference being I don't have money stolen from every check.
We really need to disband this union and start over. At the very least, fire every person employed by them. Like you, I've not been able to do any training since February. I was able to get an extension from the state through April 2022, but I know it won't be fixed by then. Hopefully the state will be able to waive our requirements for however long is necessary or we'll all be screwed. Fingers crossed 775 will be no more!
You'll want to talk to dshs about this. The union wouldn't do anything to help even if they could.
Don’t call them. You can work as a HCA and not pay union dues.
It may be too late, but you should be able to depending on your situation. 775 will definitely not help. They'd probably prefer most of us quit or die to avoid paying us for the past, present, and future class action lawsuits they've repeatedly lost/settled. I do hope your situation was resolved favorably!
Never
My understanding is that our work week limit is 40 hours for DSHS clients.
O havent received anything period or heard back from law suit
I've been a member for 11 years and have had no problems . Look up the word. And Re-contact them and let them know your concerns.
Whenever we're comfortable doing so. Not everyone we provide care to is or can be vaccinated. The virus can still be caught and spread amongst the vaccinated therefore it remains prudent to take all precautionary measures possible. Speak with the people you're around and see how they feel about it.
Is this a serious question? It's egregious, unethical, immoral, and likely illegal. Did you not take any training or the certification test? I'm almost dumbfounded this question was even posed.
What is it about? What happened?
call dshs or aging and disabilities
100 miles is the max limit period no matter what :/
Sterling Harders is 775 President and Mary Kay Henry is the National president.
