After booking a room at the wrong Bowling Green, we had excellent customer service changing hotels. This hotel is dated and musty. Our room was clean and the staff was friendly and accommodating. We had breakfast omelets to order which were great. There’s a nice walking path next to the hotel.

This hotel wasn’t horrible, but it is one we probably will not be returning to if we ever come back to the area. We enjoyed the breakfast (although it is an additional $14 per person that you pay separately for daily) and the location. The rooms were not the best and it lacked in amenities we typically enjoy in our hotel stay. Our bed was also very uncomfortable. -The pool was ice cold. We were really looking forward to swimming a few times on our 4 night stay, but we couldn’t get in. We thought it said it was a heated pool online, but it was freezing. -There are no fridges or microwaves in the rooms. We had brought drinks and snacks because usually every hotel room we have had has offered a mini fridge. Our snacks went bad and we had to take many walks to the ice machine which was very far away from our room. The ice machine on our floor didn’t work so we had to go to different levels to get ice for our beverages. -At around midnight, we woke up terrified because while we were sleeping a drunk man was banging on our door and yelling. When we went to breakfast the next morning we noticed he had left his beer bottle outside our door.

I was attending a conference at the hotel, so I stayed in one of the rooms for convenience. I asked for an early check in, but upon arrival I was told that I could not check in until later in the day. She said I could try back around noon, so I did - then I was told that my room would not be available until after 3:00 pm. I ended up carrying my things in and out of the building three times before I was actually able to check in. When I finally got into my room, it was hot and muggy. I was able to turn the AC down a lot so it could cool the room down. I also was anticipating a microwave in my room as advertised, and found that while I had a refrigerator I did not have a microwave and ended up having to order food for dinner versus heating up the food I had brought. When going to take a shower, I pulled the shower curtain and a wash cloth from a previous guest fell into the tub at my feet which was pretty gross. I didn't even want to touch the wash cloth. The bed was comfy and clean and the TV was easy to use. I also loved the big window in my room that let in a lot of natural light.

The hotel is elegant but a little dated. The atrium is beautiful and had a few fun Christmas decorations. We had the one bedroom suite and it is very spacious, offering a comfortable king bed with down comforter and pillows. Although we didn’t have our four boys with us there was definitely enough room for them. The room smelled bad and stuffy when we arrived but we always bring wax warmers or some type of air freshener to hotels so no biggie. I’m not sure if it’s the water features in the atrium but the entire hotel is humid. Our room was very warm and we had to go buy a fan to be comfortable to sleep. We were told the hotel runs on a boiler systems so it is difficult for it to adjust from heat to air when the weather is changing throughout the day as it is now. We did notice it was cooler during the day but by evening it was hot and humid again. Besides this and the fact that our shower/tub drained very slow so you were standing in dirty/soapy water we really enjoyed our stay and would stay again.
