This is a great park for the Yelm community. The playground is large, and has many slides and swings. The splash pad is also a great addition, as there aren’t any other public water features in Yelm. The only thing that I would love to see added is a perimeter fence around the splash pad and playground (and even better if there was one separating the areas!) for safety, since the road is close to the park. Last year my two year old started wandering to the road, and it was lucky I was watching him.

They keep it clean. The community garden is very nice. Newly paved lot needs some kind of spot curb on the park side but they may not be done with upgrades. The wood chips should be replaced with the playground mat but again they may not be done. 3 of our grandsons love playing there.

Nice park lots of parking, nice area for get togethers, only thing was not happy about was no access to a restroom for my nephew to use while playing at the park, so we left and went home other than that a neat park

Mathew is absolutely right! They manage things fairly well here for a smaller town and I was actually surprised they had a splash pad! It's cleaner than the ones closer to the cities.
I believe it is the same as the park hours Dawn till dusk. I have been lead to believe the water is activated by kids pressing buttons. I tried contacting City Hall to find out when the official open date was and they didn't know. Originally it was June 21 but I have seen kids playing in it recently. We will be checking it out Sunday after we go to Oregon trail days in Tenino. I will post what I find 😊
Yes pets are allowed at the park
Not yet. I have no idea what the plan is. We just moved here. Hopefully someone else might know the city's plan. The playground is open, but not disinfected. My kids played with no issue
