The price was right and the people we camped near were friendly. It was quiet at our site 416. They did have nice little perks like delivering wood and ice right to your site. You donβt see that at many campgrounds. Our site had very little grass, looked as if it may have flooded recently. Other sites appeared to have good lawns but our site was very rocky and sandy. We were right on top of the camper behind us so when we were sitting outside we could hear their conversations and them ours without talking much above a whisper. It was awkward to say the least. There was a smell of sewage when the wind blew. The train went through multiple times a day. It didnβt really bother us much but another day or so and it would have gotten old quickly. Itβs not clearly marked when pulling in where you need to go so itβs a little confusing and hard to find the office. They did put on a great fireworks show for the 4th and we were relaxed all weekend so all of that stuff didnβt really effect our time there but it was enough to make us not want to go back.

This was a last minute attempt to find a campground. I read some of the reviews, but thought it can't be that bad! I was wrong!!! The water treatment plant backs up to the campground so when the wind blows the right way you smell sewage. The trains run just along the campground and blow whistles all night long. Grass and grounds are poorly maintained. As a matter of fact night 1 a large portion of a tree fell on 3 vehicles. You could see the giant limb was rotten. As for the campground management they told the owners of the vehicles that its not their problem. The man who's truck was damaged was extremely upset. When they finally brought a front end loader out to pick up the tree they didn't chain it and had campers walking under to move their cars. No concern for their safety what so ever! This campground is probably 90+ percent residents. Had the feeling of a trailer park not a kid friendly campground. Also they advertised a driving range, but if you look at their fb page they closed it. Our lesson learned is a walmart parking lot would have been the better option over the bar that's trying very poorly maintained campground. Please see pics
