After a horrible experience at another business in the area earlier in the day, we were pleasantly surprised to have the exact opposite experience of that here. There was a short wait to be seated despite empty tables (probably short staffed, I get it), but once we were seated we were treated like royalty. Our server, Christopher, was extremely personable, quick to greet us, hand us menus, and begin taking drink orders; once everything was ordered, he constantly checked in on us, gave us updates on how everything was coming along, and went above and beyond to make sure we didn't need anything. After dealing earlier with customer service employees who hated their jobs and showed it, it was refreshing to have someone who clearly loved his job like Christopher did. As for the food, well, it's an Applebee's, your typical chain restaurant; it's fine. Nothing to write home about, but it was very reasonably priced; if you're looking for something in the area to eat that's safe, this is it...assuming you can find it, that is. This review is all about the service, which was five stars-plus.

First of all once seated service from waiter was top notch. I could not have requested better. On the other side was the wait for seating it was long and arduous. Several pickup orders were handled promptly during that time. Patrons waiting on a seat was not good, and restaurant was not packed. One group left during the wait. Food was good, as expected.

Server was great. Food was slow, clearly due to staffing shortages. Food was good, but portions appeared significantly less than normal.

It's an Applebee's. We all know what that means. But server was friendly. Table was clean. And they delivered on the food. probably as good as it could get and we left not wanting more. Im in a hard place of saying 5/5 for an Applebee's and 4/5 for dining per the dollar in a broad stroke.
