I have worked at ABHS for over 5 years. I truly am impressed with the way the employees have been handling the COVID situation were all facing in our daily work environment. We have not had any confirmed cases with Clients or Staff. We are all doing what is necessary to stay safe on a day in and day out basis. We are still saving lives. We all should be commended for what we do. I am glad we are essential workers and still able to work and make a living. For that, we should all be grateful.

If you are serious about staying clean this is the place. All most all the staff have been there and done it. They really care about you making it. If course you going to run into clients that don't care or are not ready. But if you stay out of the drama and do your program you will make it. I have been clean for 3 years after leaving ABHS. Have a good job and my family love and trust me again. My wife and children are very happy. ABHS was one of the best things that happened to me.

My son was admitted for in-patient, I called several times to ask questions n share concerns as he became very ill 2 days after he arrived spitting up black stuff ( I was told that many others were very ill also) despite numerous calls to the health clerk I never received a call back, my son is not a complainer, he keeps to himself for the most part. He did ask that I send some vitamins to help with his immune system saying the health care was bad n after reading a review I was concerned. After apprx 2 weeks there were other issues that he was not at peace with n after sharing with his father n myself chose to leave. I was told the 3 bottles of vitamins were forgotten n immediately started to call n left numerous messages throughout the week, I eventually reached someone who took info down n would call back, days later reached another person, same story ( nice ladies btw ) I made call again today n reached a lady who made call to the proper dept n let me know that after 7 days anything left behind would be disposed of. Not impressed with this place, I was also told that it was filthy.

When dropping a friend there for their stay, I didn't feel too welcomed ...the place offers no family program or visiting of any kind for patients. I found that this is the only available facility for treatment within many miles of Bellingham so there aren't other options. Bummer. I believe contact with family is important for changing ones life. It is too much of a shock to many to be isolated in their time of need.
