Called to ask if someone could help my son who was ill and has been in Bellingham about 5 years and doesn't have family near to help him. I was told SVDP couldn't go to his home to help him get his Rx. Should have asked a Samaritan on the road.

The church is fine if you're into that jesus stuff. I mostly just park in their parking lot to watch the sunset when I'm feeling sad and don't want to deal with the throngs of people at boulevard park. Not really sure about the church part, but the parking lot is 10/10. Except one time a guy pulled up next to me and started vaping. That was one of the only times I prayed. I prayed to our lord jesus that he would LEAVE. But also I prayed that he would stop vaping because nicotine products are bad for your health and let's face it our bodies are a temple that God gave us and we should treat them with respect. 🙏🏻

How well does this Church deal with people who are curious about Catholicism but have hard questions before they join the faith? Are priests available and willing to meet outside of the noted hours of mass?

Hands down you could not be at a better church for learning the faith. I went through their RCIA (joining the church class plus confirmation). The priest would move heaven and earth for both communites he works overWWU Newman Center and Sacred Heart. He is always terribly busy so I would suggest booking an appointment a fair amount out. He has always been willing to answer all of my questions. In addition i would highly suggest asking about their inquiry classes they hold for people who have questions. The priest also holds ask a priest night a few times a year for anyone who is curious as well. Highly suggest this parish and this priest to anyone who wants an honest answer that is theologically correct and straight forward.
