Thank you Elisha P for holding my hand through a couple DMV issues. You were truly professional, patient, and courteous while guiding me through the DMV maze.

DMV's usually take along time unless you make an appointment in advance. Having said that, the wait outside took 25 minutes. Inside was clean and teller was a new trainee but was well trained. Overall was a good experience.

This place is a joke, they no longer offer drivers licensing at this license office despite what the name might say. The staff I spoke with were completely incompetent and had no idea what they were talking about which ended up wasting over an hour of my time. Avoid this place if you can.

I always hear bad things about DMVs, but I never have experiences like this. I scheduled an appointment to get my driver's license renewed the day before coming in, and they were ready to see me quickly. The process was quick and not bothersome at all, they didn't demand a ridiculous information from me or make me wait a long time. The office was clean and well-organized. The person who helped me was quite nice and helpful.

I did this a couple of months ago. Written test, vision test, and fee over $100. Bring ID, Also MUST have proof of residency. Utility bill is all they accept. No lease agreements.
Yes you can, I did it.
Yes you can.
You can simply call the Washington D.O.L. office closest to you and ask them that question. It obviously varies from person to person
Yes.
2 year registration last time I did im the procedure.
Birth cert, ssi card, and 2 proofs of address like a bill of some kind, or mail from any government place, library/ doc office/school.. (also if you have any kind of school ID Card, bring that too.)
Yes for drivers license
Pre-apply online for a drivers license. Pre-applying saves time at the licensing station and allows you to start a record with the Washington Department of Licensing for smoother transactions in the future. Pass the knowledge test at a testing location. You must get 20 out of 25 questions correct to pass. Apply for a license at a licensing office. Bring your Social Security Number and proof of identity. Pass an eye exam. Pay any related fees. Schedule a drive test at a testing station and pass the test. Finalize your drivers license. You can finish this process online or in-person at a licensing office. Online licensing is restricted to those who’ve held an instruction permit and haven’t had any violations, suspensions, or revocations. Print your online receipt – that will serve as your temporary license. If you’re finishing the process in-person, you’ll be given a temporary license there. Allow 7-10 days for delivery of your permanent license.
While Octavio is probably correct, I do NOT have a WA license, but have two vehicles and a trailer registered in WA. They have never asked me for a WA ID or DL. You also have the option of getting temporary registration for the vehicle, up to 60 days (unlike Oregon) while you study and receive your Washington License, if necessary.
I'm in Vancouver WA. So when I called numerous of times to set up an appointment cuz it was so busy that I had to keep calling back to set one up,it was for 30 days out..then you have to bring like a lease or mail with your name and a address on it..it might help if you look for a DMV kinda on the outskirts or smaller town so you can get in fast as possible.. GOOD LUCK
Go online to the DMV website and get the list of required documents that you will need to get the Identification card.
