Really cute place, almost like stepping back in time. Great family feeling. Sad we didn't get to stay. Box springs on one of the beds was covered in bedbugs. We were able to switch rooms but still wasn't comfortable enough to stay.So it was a really fast nope. But Lake veiw and surroundings was absolutely beautiful.

Very cool place spot on the lake and awesome looking structure, however it is in need of some serious updates. The first thing that hits you when you walk through the front doors into the main lobby is the old house smell. I flip houses for a living and it smelled like many of the abandoned houses I buy. Not a great second impression after I was just in awe of the drive in and cool rustic, massive beam architecture. We walked around the property and at that point I began to notice how neglected it was. Needs actual structural repairs made soon, power washing, painting and old sticky carpet replaced. Spend some money State of Kentucky! This is a gem that deserves to be a 5⭐️ restaurant and hotel! On second thought, just sell it to a private investor who knows what they are doing. In the middle of July that place should be hopping with tourists and there might have been 5 cars in the lot and 2 tables eating breakfast. Not a good look for such a place with such potential.

Had a wonderful week at this resort. Stayed in one of the two bedroom, two bath cabins. Very nice. Fully equipped. Beds were wonderful. Linens and towels provided. Even had a coffee maker with free coffee. Pool at the resort was a comfortable 80 degrees and not busy. The lake was lovely with many excellent views. They have a beach but we did not try it because we were there during such a hot week. Staff very friendly and helpful. Will definitely visit again!

We stayed in one of their log cabins over Memorial Day weekend, everything was tidy and cute! Would recommend, loved doing activities at LBL. The food at the lodge was very enjoyable.

Their current cook is excellent. Jack has a great following from several years back at other local resturants. When he's cooking, you can expect a waiting line.
Absolutely, there are also pickneck tables next to the lake about every 200 ft behind the resort along a nice trail.
You want to let them know during check in, the fee charged increases if you try to hide the fact you have pets. The staff won't come into your room only give items to you at the door like towels, soap, coffee, etc. Be prepared for ticks at least in July my pup and myself got quite a few from walking on the trails. Also, their rules mention a few more things like the areas you peer can it cannot go in the lodge, if your pet makes disruptive nose like barking all day if left in the room, having a more relaxed and less anxious pup that travels well is good for everyone.
Yes, but you may need to request them specifically.
