We stayed in room 209 and it sucked. We payed $246 for a room that wasn’t even clean. There were stains on the carpet and bed even on the carpeted stairs AND carpeted elevator there was also trash from the previous guests. On the front of the building has a banner that said NEW rooms I would hate to see the old ones. Even though there are multiple signs saying NO pets allowed they still let dogs in. The room next to us 207 had a Chihuahua that would not shut up even though we called the front desk multiple times still nothing was done with it. We went to go get breakfast and a hound dog just walked right through the lobby with the receptionist sitting right there.

Stayed here few years ago and it was enjoyable. This time wasn't so pleasant. Desk clerk wasn't so nice and seemed to have a aditude about questions about my points that I used for this stay. Booked a Suite a week ahead of time to be told there were none available. Probably thinking less and less about Choice Hotels and not book anymore stays with them anymore. Should mention room I stayed in wasn't vacuumed and missing drinking Cups, Bed spread had stains all over it clearly visible even in Dim lighting. Motel has Really gone down hill.

Pet friendly, good internet, close to Interstate, no working phone, no working alarm clock, machine that makes the room keys was not working, so I had to make sure I turned in the only key they had for the room. I have used Quality Inn in Florida with no problems, but was disappointed with the hotel in Salem, IL.

This hotel was gross. The sheets were stained with blood and I assume urine. The hallways and rooms smelled bad. I had to go buy my own sheets and fabric spray just to get the smell out and feel comfortable sleeping. The person working at the front was never up there when I tried going down to speak to someone. The food looked old so I didn’t even try eating. The carpets were sticky. Overall horrible horrible experience.

The normal check-in time is 3 PM. This gives housekeeping enough time to clean the rooms that were previously rented. You can always call the hotel and ask if they have any rooms available for early check-in and ask them what the early check-in fee may be. They may charge you, they may not. It depends on the hotels situation.
