Walk in's only, no need of prior appointment. Reach half an hour before they open to be the first ones to take the driving test. It will definitely take more than 2 hours of your time to complete all the tests and documentation work. The best staff ever! They take time to explain everything and make sure we leave with all the necessary information. If they dont understand or know something, they make sure to call their higher officials right infront of us and get things sorted for us.

The staff at the DMV were really helpful. I had an issue with my car’s registration but they were able to accommodate me. Rantoul, being a relatively sparse area had very less traffic and would recommend the place for students from UIUC.

I came on a Friday evening and it happened to be a very short wait before i was helped (<5 minutes). KERRY was SO nice and supportive!! As a trans person, I did not feel judged at all when changing my name on my license. She was super efficient too and I was out of there within 15 minutes. Fantastic experience overall.
