The room smells like stale cigarettes and syrup. There is random totes with kitchen appliances all in the halls. The lady at the desk was very rude. I was here on a business trip and never had as much issues of getting into my room as I did this. The grab and go baskets were completely empty in the morning.

Very friendly and helpful staff here at Darien. I left my pair of AirPods in my room, and a staff member (I forgot to catch her name) was incredibly helpful in helping me retrieve them. She even checked the sheets that were about to be washed. Ultimately, she found them, and I’m incredibly grateful.

Check in was easy and front desk attendant was nice. Hallways did smell a little bit like cigarettes or other odor, but room itself was clean and smelled nice. Very basic hotel which is nice if you're not looking for any frills. Based on the lack of updates, I thought the price per night was still pretty high. Rooms are not very sound proof either, as I heard the TV next door to me all night. Shower and bathroom were clean and it's nice that they provide basic toiletries. I liked that they had vending machines with plenty of options. I would stay again if I'm just looking for a place to sleep.
