Gorgeous overlook and the trails were really fun for the family to take. The woods are gorgeous and the falls is a good stop. Will be back here again.

Beautiful overlook onto the Mississippi River Valley. Easy walkways to hike on. Trails marked out by concrete and wooden planks. We had a great time!

Absolutely favorite stop for this late fall trip to catch a few more fall colors before winter. The overlooks and part of trial is paved/accessible as well. Great views, loved the colors and saw hawks, eagle and other birds. Must-see!

So pretty in the fall. We hadn't been here before and found the trails to be lovely. The views were beautiful, and the fall leaves gorgeous. We walked on beds of leaves most of the way. At times, we weren't sure if we were on the path but then we'd see a map and continue trekking. There are many different paths to follow. There were people in the popular scenic view areas and by the tiny waterfall, but otherwise, it was very calm and less crowded on the trails. Honestly, the waterfall was not our favorite view, but apparently it's been dry in Iowa, so that should be expected, I guess. The hiking was worth going there. We hiked around for several hours and brought along a small picnic to enjoy on a random bench off one of the trails.

They have several walk-up sites, but they don't adhere to their own rule of no checking in to walk-up sites before 4pm.
Walking trails not so much but the main park looking out over the river, us definitely wheelchair accessible! Go!😊
Gloria, the trail to the waterfall starts as a concrete sidewalk and then turns into a half-mile elevated wooden boardwalk with a hand railing. All roads to the park in the area are open. We hope you can visit!
There is a canoe/kayak trail on our Pool 10 of the Mississippi River and the closest rentals are at Wyalusing State Park in Wisconsin. There are also some canoe rentals places somewhat nearby: Bigfoot Canoe Rentals www.bigfootcanoerentals.com which is on the Yellow River (about 20 miles NW of Pikes Peak) and Turkey River Canoe Rentals 563.245.3802 (about 20 miles SW of Pikes Peak). Our Sny Magill boat ramp, 5 miles south of Pikes Peak, is a great place to launch into the backwaters if you're comfortable on the river and can find kayaks. Thanks!
There should be a number to call on the website
There is a water park in pdc
Not far at all. It's about 40-50 yards...all paved, all flat, and all shaded from the parking lot.
The park is open at 4am-10pm but the store doesn't open till 10am and closes at 4:30pm.
