Lake Matthew area is beautiful . wildlife and bushes lakes everything, stores everywhere all you have to do is drive around. wi nice area. I give it a 10 for somebody just looking for something else to do.

Went early this morning to see the super blooms, and had the place to myself! Arrived around 7am. Saw no one until one other car arrived around 8.45am. Great flowers, nice easy hike to see them. Plus nice views of the lake and snow capped mountains.

Beautiful place to see Superbloom! No need to go to Lake Elsinore. We got here at 3pm, its kinda hot, morning would be better. There was just a few people, so very peaceful and enjoyable! The poppies are hidden on the other side of the hills, so you wont see it on the way. Keep on going and its so worth it! 🥰

No. Sorry. But the drive is gorgeous at sundown. I highly recommend. You could try Ortega highway. Leads to Cleveland National Forest.

You just missed the time frame around mid march to July.
You can go but from Gilman springs entrance from behind lake Mathews. Stay on dirt roads

You can try to fish but you'll probably be arrested. They have a very large security Force
Permission from who? Can you fish from shore? Is it catch n release? What species of fish are in this body of water?
This is a reservoir, there is no public access.
