I was recently cleaning my wedding rings and realized I'd forgotten review Kay Jewelrs after getting my husband's and my wedding bands there a year ago. So here goes: I wouldn't recommend this store to anyone. Customer service is lacking here and I wouldn't consider them "professional" to any any degree. The sales lady who helped us initially with our purchase was friendly enough, but when I handed her my engagement ring to have it sized, she tested it and asked, out loud for everyone to hear, "How much did you pay for this?" because it only has one small inclusion. It was very unprofessional to put my now-husband on the spot with that question. He just looked at her like "What the heck?" and didn't respond. When I picked up our bands about a week later, there was a different lady and a man who were very curt and rude, acting as if they couldn't be bothered by me. It was some of the worst customer service I've ever encountered. I'm not even going to take our rings in for polishing/cleaning we paid extra for because the people are terribly unprofessional. Please shop elsewhere or consider buying online.

Buying from Kay jewelers had been a hassle , I bought an item online for my mom from another state. She cant return it in stores and have it return back to my card without my card present. So she had to mail it to me. Although I had the return slip and order number with item unopened, the staff said they couldn’t find my order, instead of finding a solution with their team. They told me to return it by mail maybe bc they cant get commission from a return. When I contact customer service they said this location is poorly trained and said finding my order is no problem and I can easily return it in stores. Their staff should’ve called in customer care to get help process this return instead of the lazy way out. The department even told me to call in while at the store to “help” them process. When I returned the male staff asked me “which system did they find you on because we have 2 systems”. My lord, is that my job???Why do I have to go through all this trouble for a simple return. Will not buy from Kay jewelers anymore. Especially will not recommend this location. The person who “helped” me was male & fat.

My husband and I have been shopping in this store for 8+ years. It has always been a pleasant experience offering great customer service. Last night, however, we went in to have our rings checked to remain compliant with our warranties. There were only 2 people besides us in the store and that was 2 Kay associates - a man and a woman. Both were just standing there when we walked in. The woman who helped us lacks tremendously in customer service skills. She was a bully, and rude when she spoke. I’m not sure what happened to the great customer service we used to experience.
