Wonderful place to go with kids! Clean and well maintained! Not expensive either

My family and I love a good water park. Today I took my boy and his buddies to hang out and play at the Kentucky Splash Waterpark and Campground. The price was as advertised on their website, $12 each with kids under 5 getting in free. The reason small children were free currently is due to the area for this age kids being down. This information is also available on their website. That website is a gold mine of information listing not only prices, but also what is provided at the snack bar, prices included. Be sure to check it out! It also lists rules like no outside food, drinks, or thongs. (Donβt worry, you would never catch me in one of those anyway.) The park consists of a lengthy lazy river, a wave pool, and 5 slides of various lengths. There are two sets of restrooms available, several snack bars, and plenty of seating for sun bathers. Overall, this was an enjoyable visit. My only caution is to make sure you check the weather before going. ( You can find it on that website.π) Scattered thunderstorms cut our fun a bit short and caused the park to close earlier than scheduled. It wasnβt that big of a concern for my party since the boys were worn out, but if we had only been there for a half hour, I might feel differently about spending $12 a person.

The campground is fine! It is clean and well maintained. I do suggest you reserve your spot online or call ahead. Many of the spots are pretty much full sun. Some are laid out very awkward and it makes it hard to determine where one spot ends and the other begins. Be sure to see the pictures on their website to get an idea. The campground bathhouse is very nice. The water pressure is great! The area was clean and they had nice amenities. The only thing lacking was a bench to sit on to get dressed. The waterpark isn't the greatest. β‘οΈAt the moment, the waves don't work in the wave pool so that is a huge bummer.β¬ οΈ The lazy river is fabulous! π«The kiddie area is not open so this is not a good place for toddlers and babies.πΆ They have plans to rework that area, but not sure when it will be completed. We rented a cabana for today so I haven't experienced that yet, but these go fast as well. You can rent them ahead of time. Why the lower than normal for me rating? The serving staff left much to be desired.β οΈ One female staffer was drinking/eating ice from an open cup and switched to serving without cleaning her hands at all in the shaved ice booth. She then went to the bathroom, came back and proceeded to loudly tell how she fell and then there was no toilet paper. She returned to serving, without gloves again. Granted, this is a different state than my home state, but I would hope their health department held to better standards than this. The campground being nice weighed in on my overall rating of this. If the campground hadn't been maintained, I would have only given 2 stars. Again, if you have small children, this is not the time (2022) to visit this park. I would suggest checking to see if the kiddie area and wave pool are working prior to visiting.

Everything was great. The only thing I was a little disappointed about was the wave pool was down, but there was pump that was broken, so the staff discounted our tickets to $8 from $10. It's about a 45 minute drive from Knoxville and for the price it's cheaper than going to Dollywood. Both of my kids (17&4) had a blast playing in the water.

How much are the lockers?
Yes, but it's super crowded on the weekend, and no masks are being worn.
We are open Weekends only now. We will be open on Labor Day Monday and that is our last day.
