I had to stop over for the night while on a business trip into Maryland. I paid a premium for this room but I did it because of the recent increase in violence going on at hotels everywhere. I don’t know what the statistics are but I travel for work and I am seeing it more often than ever before. Violent crimes are happening in hotels with increasing frequency. The company expense account rules and the IRS regulations may be an issue down the road but hopefully I’ll be alive to have the discussions. This Hampton Inn was clean, had a lot of cameras inside and out. It was fresh in appearance and had nice family oriented amenities. Staff was friendly, able to answer questions about local options for ordering dinner or eating out. Morning breakfast was an option as well. Looks like the hot continental breakfasts are making a comeback after CoVid had them shut down. Hopefully it’s not the type of place someone will want to stay if they are engaged in those risky, illegal activities that tend to escalate into violence from time to time. It’s certainly not a fool proof strategy, but in my opinion, it is similar to buying or renting a nicer home in a nicer neighborhood. Not foolproof by any means, but maybe a little safer. Room cost after taxes was $172 for one night.

No newspaper for us in the lobby, there were no Splenda sweetener and they performed fire alarm service starting at six o'clock in the morning. I was awakening by loud banging as if someone was stuck in the elevator trying to get through my room wall. Our room was next to the elevator were the bulk of the work to place. When I reported to the front desk staff they pretended like it didn't happen. The hotel was clean, but after that experience I would like elsewhere for future stays.

We were able to secure a room during an April snowstorm. This Hampton Inn allows pets which we needed as we travel with our dog. It was very clean! There were amenities like a pool, small gym and a breakfast. As it was an unexpected stop food options were limited, because many businesses closed due to the weather.

Very quiet location- well maintained hotel with updates throughout! Love that pets are welcome and the pricing is competitive! Would like to see some added toiletries such as lotion and better quality tissues- also wish the thermostat setting wouldn’t reset to a default temp while out of the room.
