Came home from nursing facility because kwa promised me caregivers 5 days a week, 9 to 5. Did not leave nursing facility until this was finally going to happen. Stayed there many additional months waiting for caregivers to become available. Then I was home with no help for 3 months before a caregiver showed up for 1 day. No one ever came again. I was forced to return to the nursing facility. Then they billed me for the entire month that someone had come out once. And the girl gave me covid after I had been so careful for 2 years. My condition suffered and deteriorated due to having no assistance for 3 months.

KWA's In-Home-Care service is excellent! Caregivers are my heroes!! KWA caregivers are sincerely passionate about their work helping elderly with day-to-day activities including cooking, cleaning, bathing, feeding, shopping, entertaining, listening to their life stories, doctor visits, walking, and wiping tears with loving care. I appreciate all caregivers, thank you so much for the hard work you do!! I wish more people join KWA as a caregiver. Caregivers are union members and their benefits are great including health, dental, and vision at low cost, and more...

Since they don’t update the care plans, many of the clients have WAY MORE HOURS THAN NEEDED. They won’t fix it because they get that extra money. Clients have the right to feel comfortable in their home and confident with their caregivers. With that being said the company isn’t strict enough on the clients about pushing boundaries. They often ask you to do things you ARE NOT ALLOWED TO DO and when you say no they fire you or become extremely hard to work with. Refusing to do things that aren’t even listed in the care plan. When you tell the supervisor, they try to make the client feel right And then tell you they’re wrong. They also don’t encourage breaks. Unless my client can’t be left alone, I’m entitled to a break away from my client. I’m a caregiver, not a servant. They don’t train their employees good enough and hire almost anyone. One of my clients had a bedsore on their whole backside from not being cared for. The supervisors ignore the clients and though they do speak English, need to work on it even further to understand client needs. Even though the pay is high, it’s hard getting hours consistently. If you ask the clients, they aren’t happy with their care.

KWA has sent me a caregiver that watched videos when she drives. There woman are not trained and do not know how to clean. They don't send help when you need it This weekend they left me with no food .I begged the supervisor for help and she said she couldn't find anyone.I fired my caregiver because she isn't qualified to take care of me.I found MOLD in my coffee pot this morning that's why I'm writing this.Thank you Diana olson
