There was a new chef here named Danna who got great reviews but has been gone since December 2021. The food is likely prepared the same but without the same level of execution. Without the great food you have an older facility with a prime location. Our food was Okay but the tastes were off. There’s better choices in International District.

Dimsum were good for lunch. Sticky rice w/lobster was the best. I also liked salted egg custard for dessert

It was one of the rare places open on Thanksgiving. Huge dining area with great views of lake union. Tried the Jing combo, the soup was tasty but the chicken fried rice was a bit dry. Also, they were not serving drinks unless you ordered food.

First time to this restaurant back in 2014/15 and it wasn’t good but flat out bad and vowed never to return. This restaurant has a great view of the water and south lake Union. And one can’t fathom how this restaurant can survive. Fast forward to 2021, started to see some great photos of foods served at this restaurant and started heating rumors about a new chef joined this restaurant. She happened to be someone I’m very familiar with her foods served at a Bellevue upscale Chinese restaurant. Came here twice last week, once for lunch (dim sum) and back the next night for dinner (mainly focused on seafood). The dim sum selection is decent but it was good and presented very well. It blew my low expectations out of the water (literally) after my prior attempt. Came back a day later with a few friends for dinner and pre ordered some specials recommended by the new chef. Everything was delicious and guests were very happy and impressed. Foods were served promptly despite having a banquet on the upper floor. Service was good and rarely many Chinese restaurants provide good service and changed our plates after a couple dishes. Definitely will try this place again. You’ll see sign of wear and tear and some maintenance and touch up of the place in the near future. The foods at this place definitely made a 360° change snd glad it’s for the good.

When I had dinner at China Harbor restaurant, there was no advertising of any karaoke events whatsoever. The ambiance at China Harbor restaurant is elegant, upscale and peaceful.

To the best of my knowledge, China Harbor Restaurant does NOT add MSG to their food. I sincerely enjoyed my dinner at China Harbor Restaurant.
Not a buffet style. Made to order unless its a special function. Check there menu online or call them.
Not sure. They like money so there is always events.
Not really. The staff were very accommodating, bringing us through the kitchen. I would not call it accessible.
