Call the Trust. They know way more than you or I do.

how many hours can a retiree work

Jim Bishop | Aug 14, 2022
MICHAEL RADAKOVICH | Aug 15, 2022

As much as they want in a new field that they aren't able to do because of the skills they learned as a carpenter (like a Boeing machinist z a myth teacher or a cook). Otherwise, 480 hours each calendar year if under 65. Over 65 years of age either 2)480 hours a year, or 2)39.5 hours or less in the month. Additionally, if OVER 65 they can do whatever they want as long as they are not in our region. Call the Trust for a discussion about your particular situation.

Can I work part time for my employer after I decide to retire

DThelin Thelin | Aug 14, 2022
Northwest Carpenters Trusts (Owner) | Aug 15, 2022

Yes, but be aware that retirement benefits can be suspended if you exceed a certain number of hours. If you are retired under the Carpenters Retirement Plan and under age 65, you can work up to 480 hours per year without your monthly benefit being suspended. If you are age 65 and older, you can also work an additional 39.5 hours per month without a suspension. Call Carpenters Trusts for more information: 800-552-0635.

Can I pay for disability insurance or is that already offered ... and is that done through the trust, Etna ins., or carpenters union local

Jade Barker | Aug 14, 2022
MICHAEL RADAKOVICH | Aug 15, 2022

The benefits must be earned through employer contributions underbthe fringe benefit agreement. You cant walk in and buy insurance. Working carpenters have both short and long term disability protection

Dental benefits are provided through Delta Dental of Washington (800-554-1907), which is responsible for contracting dentists in your area. To find a Delta Dental provider, go to www.deltadentalwa.com and create your patient account. Signing in will automatically guide you to dentists covered by your plan. Dental benefits are reimbursed up to the amount allowed in the Dental Fee Schedule. The patient is responsible for paying amounts over the scheduled allowances, amounts over the plan maximums, and any expenses not covered.
