Meg Bridewell was amazing. And to think she represented us for free?? Unbelievable. We could not have asked for a better attorney. Always supportive, constantly informing. We would have given up long ago, but she saved us $1600. And this was well over the course of a year, perhaps two. I cannot say enough good things about her. She deserves any and all accolades that come her way. Thank you, Meg!

I will change my rating once I get a call back from them. I've called 2x now and left a message and still no call back and if so no voicemail. Well my 1 star is due the no call back not their services. I will change my review once I get that call. So if your reading this U. L. P. PLEASE CALL ME. (Update) So I finally get the call and at the time was driving so I told the nice gentlemen I will call back and he can call me back if busy. Well I just saw this and remembered that I didn't call him back... (Mental note, Call ULP ASAP!?)

Run! Do not even consider for a second going to this agency for any "assistance", because of it is lower cost "services". Asking this agency for help in representing you will only make your situation worse than it was before you reached out to them. Because I turned to this low cost option, I am now fighting ( at a harder legal standard) for an assessment of almost 31k. They will describe their agency as, " the only non-profit in the US focused on providing unemployed workers with legal assistance specific to their unemployment claims". That is true. However, because the brand new lawyers who work here do so for little to no cost, they give you the minimum and dont spend the time needed researching, documenting and preparing your side of the case when fighting an employer. Things get really bad if you are one of the few who has to defend themselves from an employer represented by experienced employment council. The Unemployment Law Project has a great mission. However, in practice, they end up hurting more clients then they help. The shining star in this volunteer group was Erin, a paralegal who was considerate and professional to the extreme.

Good plan to help afterwards. We file to rebuild, right? Yando sets one up with an aftercare plan not just a bankruptcy plan. Long term thinking / planning is best to meet my needs. He's slow to return calls but he's a solo act. And he does eventually return calls. He's very organized. So far so good.

I'm not sure but they are trying to make my wife pay back what she received PUA and she qualifies due to kids not in school. I will say this a friend told me about ULP and helped out immensely. I'm hoping they do the same for my wife's situation...
The job search has been waived until October 1. So I would recommend trying to reopen claim and open it for the current period, than if that appeal gets approved, you can call or send a message requesting to have the past claims approved. If you try to reset it to the original date than the system rejects it because several months have passed and the unemployment claims is based on certain dates. Or you can send a message asking for an tier 3 representative to call you
Not sure. Call them ASAP.
