Impressive, expansive and a great way to get to the Glass Museum! I especially love the Juxtaposition of the bridge against the old pantheonic architectural style :-)

Great works of art from local artists. These are from local artists learning the craft from the glass museum below. Check it out both day and night for a full experience

A brilliant display of Dale Chihuly’s work. The glass bridge is a must-visit when in Tacoma. The bridge connects the Washington state history museum to the Foss waterway. There are more than 30 artworks on display.

We read about this in the AAA book. It's in Tacoma Chihuly's hometown. After seeing the Chihuly exhibit in Seattle we just had to see this. One big reason we had to stop is because it's free. We were there in the morning when the sun was just right. The weather was sunny and gorgeous. We had a hard time finding how to get into the Museum of Glass to park. We must have made six to eight attempts before we got it right. Lots of roads lots of exit ramps and we always didn't end up where we thought we were going but we saw a lot of the area that way. We did have to pay for parking. We would have liked to have gone to the Museum of Glass. But we just didn't think we had the time. I can see going back to Tacoma and staying two or three nights. We noticed Chihuly glass hanging in the window of what used to be Union Station and now it is the federal courthouse. So, once we cross the bridge we went into the federal courthouse. They had to check our IDs but we saw more artwork by Chihuly inside the courthouse. It's possible that people who live in Tacoma have never even been here so get out and explore. If you're going through Tacoma find a coma or around Tacoma do stop here and see this.

Yes
It's on Pacific avenue..Hello Cupcake store near the beginning of the bridge you walk across the train tracks and onto the bridge.. it's between the 17th and 21st I would just Google hello cupcake and park there you don't have to pay for parking right now...
Yes, I recommend the parallel parking across the street from union station or downstairs by the history museum if you go at night...if it's day time, there's a parking lot for it
There's wheel chair access from the Union Station side as mentioned. There's also an elevator on the Glass Museum side that will take you down to Dock St.
The bridge is free but the parking is not. The museum is not free either but you don't have to go in.
