Great place to get a sewing machine repaired, was purchasing a press. No room to walk in the store! Spider webs everywhere, sewing machines pretty much stacked on top of themselves, kind of a fire trap. BUT Mary was wonderful, knowledgeable, extremely pleasant and great to deal with. Was happy with my purchase, just couldn't wait to get in and out of the store. Pretty much a mess.

It's crowded with machines...Incoming from being repaired and/or serviced Outgoing to be repaired and/or serviced. Mary and her assistant more than make up for, what to me, looks like a mess. But always remember: One person's mess can be another person's organization. Creativity can be messy.

I found myself amongst the droves of people who picked up sewing in the pandemic and Mary from Thornton fulfilled my sewing machine dreams! I knew that I wanted a serger for sewing clothes but I didn’t know anything about serger terminology or specifications. I first bought a refurbished serger which ended up being a debacle as I couldn’t find enough tutorials online for the older machine. The older Bernina would have been perfect for most but it drove me up the wall and they graciously let me return/exchange it for a new Baby Lock. Fast forward a few months and I’m sewing a new project every week and on my way to having a #memade wardrobe. Definitely check out this small business (& talk with Mary) if you’re trepidatious about making a big sewing machine purchase!
