I am so unimpressed with the care this physician has provided to my in-laws. I tried multiple times to contact Dr. Schamess, twice reaching an actual person (with no call back) and many times staying on the line for 45 min with no answer. We needed help. More than I can say. They were living unsafely at home. We needed their physician to review meds, take away drivers licenses, just SEE them for an appointment. But the communication was so poor, we could not get them in to be seen. Both of my in-laws were cognitively impaired and were not able to make their own appointments. Family tried multiple times to get through to this physician. No answer. At the end of all of this, they now have the help they need at a memory care facility. I am SO relieved they finally have access to the medical care they so badly needed. And this office couldn’t even send the appropriate paperwork necessary to move them in. My in-laws doctored with this man for years, insisting he was “the best” (even though they could never get a timely appt). Well, in my mind, the “best” can return a phone call. Maybe this physician is just ill-equipped to doctor older adults. But that should definitely be known.

Dr. Schamess spends the time needed to listen and explain everything so you can easily understand. He is prompt with appointments, he is prompt in answering emails.
